COHAT

Starts at $454

A Comprehensive Oral Health Assessment and Treatment (COHAT) is a thorough assessment of the oral cavity of your pet with the formulation of a treatment plan to address any disease that may be present.

The Comprehensive Oral Health Assessment and Treatment (COHAT) includes:

  • dental cleaning
  • dental radiographs to assess root health
  • scaling to remove tartar
  • polishing to help preclude future tartar accumulation
  • fluoride treatment to strengthen the tooth enamel

The package also includes bloodwork before surgery to ensure your pet is healthy to undergo anesthesia.

Extractions: This depends on the quantity and complexity of extractions necessary. We only extract what's necessary. If necessary, the veterinarian may have to suture the extraction site.

Periodontal Filler: Cementing gel to preserve a tooth for a little longer. It has shown significant reduction in pocket depth and improves overall periodontal health.

Sealants:  SANOS® works by getting into those hard-to-reach places under the gumline, especially around the back teeth. It acts like a clear, self-drying bandage that helps protect against plaque and tartar buildup for up to 6 months! This is important because while cavities are less common in pets, gum disease is a big concern. Keeping the gumline clean can help prevent problems that might lead to tooth extractions down the road.

Pain Medication: If extractions are necessary, pain medication will be administered accordingly.

Antibiotics: These may be required on pets with advanced dental problems prior to and after the surgery.

Anesthesia Free Dentals:
We do not offer nor do we recommend having your pets teeth cleaned without anesthesia.  Please visit the Arizona Veterinary Dental Specialists website and read about their stance on anesthesia free dentals.
